WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7, 2017

 

9AM – 11AM

Basic Life Support Course (BLS)

2 Hours Category 1A CME Credit

  

11AM - 9PM

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS)

10 Hours Category 1A CME Credit

 

12PM - 1PM

Lunch Break (on your own)

 

5PM - 6PM

Dinner Break (on your own)

  

Essentials of BLS and ACLS are presented in small group teaching stations. Cases presented will include special situations, pulmonary edema, hypertension and shock. The goal of each course is for the participant to succeed in acquiring the skills and knowledge needed for his/her role in resuscitation. Participants who demonstrate the knowledge and skills to resuscitate a cardiac arrest victim will receive an American Heart Association card of successful completion.


*Standardized courses including BLS and ACLS qualify for a maximum of 10 AOA Category 1-A credits once within the three year cycle. Any repetition of these courses will be credited as AOA Category 1-B.

Pediatric Life Support (PALS)

This classroom-based course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest. Participants who demonstrate the knowledge and skills to resuscitate a pediatric cardiac arrest victim will receive an American Heart Association card of successful completion.


*Standardized courses including PALS qualify for a maximum of 8 AOA Category 1-A credits once within the three year cycle. Any repetition of these courses will be credited as AOA Category 1-B.
